In China in the 1980s, agriculture, urban construction, economic management and teaching reform were some of the problems faced in national construction. These issues were more concerned by scholars. Mr. Li Youyi visited Australia in the 1980s and gained a lot in the aspect of higher education and the development of colleges and universities, and this paper will introduce the investigation and research of Mr. Li Youyi during his visit to Australia. In order to study the changes in the balance of teaching and research in the future, and to provide the necessary reference for the development of higher education in China.
