As the mathematical basic theory of information science, artificial intelligence and data science, Factor Space is applied to the problem of digital economic development to provide new ideas for the research of Factor Space theory. Based on the Factor Space theory, this paper selects Liaoning Province and its 14 cities as the research object, and utilizes the digital economic development factor data of Liaoning Province and its 14 cities from 2016 to 2021 to explore the level of digital economic development in Liaoning Province. Firstly, the digital economy development evaluation factor system is constructed, and the digital economy development factors are selected according to the principles of scientificity and systematicity to form the digital economy development level factor library of digital infrastructure construction, digital industrialization and industrial digitization. Secondly, multi-dimensional analysis and standardization of raw data are carried out based on the factor library of digital economic development level, entropy weight-TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation model is established, and linear entropy-TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation model is constructed relying on the linear entropy theory under the Factor Space, and the two evaluation models are used to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the digital economic development level of each prefecture-level city in Liaoning Province. Finally, the evaluation results of the model are compared and analyzed with the ranking of per capita GDP of prefecture-level cities in Liaoning Province. It is found that there is a significant spatial imbalance in the development of digital economy in Liaoning Province, and the linear entropy-TOPSIS model is closer to the actual development status quo, linear entropy can effectively replace the information entropy in the entropy method, and the linear entropy-TOPSIS model is effective and feasible.
