The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China explicitly states the need to strengthen the political and organizational functions of Party organizations, firmly focus on grassroots clarity, transform grassroots Party organizations into efficient entities for fulfilling the Party’s leadership responsibilities, and stimulate Party members to fully play their vanguard and exemplary roles, maintaining the advanced nature and purity of the Party membership. The report also emphasizes the people-centered development of education, the acceleration of constructing a high-quality education system, the promotion of quality education, and the advancement of educational equity. Family education and ideological and political education during university plays a significant role in cultivating students’ correct life and value perspectives, laying a solid foundation for their future learning and career development. However, there are still certain issues in the actual educational process, making it challenging to achieve educational goals. To improve this situation and promote the integration of ideological and political education with family education, it is necessary to transform the teaching concepts of parents and teachers, collaboratively carry out educational work, ensure the smooth progress of ideological and political education, assist students in solving psychological issues, and promote the healthy growth of college students. This paper explores the role of family tradition education in cultivating innovative thinking and a longterm training mechanism for college student Party members from the perspective of family education.
