This study aims to explore the current situation of humanistic care ability of undergraduate nursing students and analyze the factors affecting the humanistic care ability of nursing students. From February to June 2021, the convenience sampling method was used to select the nursing students of Jiaxing University and Nanhu University of Jiaxing as the research objects, and an online questionnaire survey was conducted. A total of 141 students completed the questionnaire survey, and 137 valid questionnaires were finally obtained. Among the 137 questionnaires, 40 (29.2%) thought that they were completely in line with the situation of living in a caring family. There was a significant difference in the total score of SCS between these nursing students and those who chose other options; The scores of the nursing students who are completely consistent with helping their friends in the cognitive dimension are significantly better than those who have other options; There were 72 people who had taken care of patients, accounting for 52.6%. In terms of the total score of the Care Ability Scale (CAI), the nursing students with the experience of caring for patients were significantly higher than those without the relevant experience, and the difference was statistically significant (P = 0.037); There were 37 nursing students who had their own hospitalization experience, accounting for 27.0%. Compared with the nursing students who had not lived in the hospital, there was a difference in the patient dimension of the CAI scale, and the data was statistically significant (P = 0.019). At present, the caring ability of undergraduate nursing students is low. Family atmosphere, personal experience and their own characteristics can affect the caring ability of nurses. Educators should pay attention to the family atmosphere of nursing students in the process of training senior undergraduate nursing students; According to different personality characteristics of students to make targeted interventions; In the implementation of humanistic care education, humanistic care factors can be integrated into classroom teaching, skills training and daily life, and the humanistic quality of nursing students can be focused on.
