IMPACT OF EMERGENCY EVENTS ON E-COMMERCE ENTERPRISES- BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF AMAZON DATA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

At the beginning of 2020, the New Crown epidemic broke out and swept the world. The occurrence of this emergency outbreak has brought unprecedented challenges and opportunities to e-commerce companies around the world, and the resulting reflection on e-commerce companies during the new coronavirus outbreak has drawn attention. This paper firstly uses the financial data of Amazon platform for each quarter from 2017 to 2022 to conduct a comparative analysis, discusses the reasons leading to the change of data in each period, analyzes the measures taken by Amazon platform to cope with the impact during the New coronavirus, secondly elaborates the impact of the New coronavirus on e-commerce enterprises and the limitations of e-commerce enterprises in the case of sudden emergency events, and then points out that the context of sudden emergency events brings e-commerce enterprises The challenges and opportunities for e-commerce companies in the context of emergency situations are then pointed out, and on this basis, the measures that should be taken by e-commerce companies to cope with emergency situations are elaborated.
